After 27 years in the corporate world, I felt the need to do something more fulfilling for myself. I cannot recall a time in my life that I felt better than when I was assisting my grandmother who had Alzheimer's. At the time it was very stressful as I was working a 40+ hour a week job which included travel. In 2011, I knew it was time for me to make a change in my life and it needed to be a positive change that would also help others just as much as it would help myself.
August 2011, I opened Nana's Helper, LLC in memory of Mamie C. Whitfield (my Nana)! I began by delivering Meals on Wheels through the Senior Center in Forsyth County as a volunteer. Also, I joined the Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce, began advertising on the Internet, giving business cards out to everyone I knew and the business began to grow. It is now September 2012 and I have repeat customers and my business is growing. The special needs community has touched my heart and I have a new area to excel in. I am so thankful to have met each person as I learn a new lesson each day. All that I expect is to help others daily and continue to bless others as I have been blessed.
Call Nana's helper at 770-713-7823 and see if I can help simplify your life too!
