About Nana's Helper
This company was started from the need to find good, honest people to take my aging grandmother (Nana) to the doctor. I wanted to make sure she received the best care but I could not always take time off from work to take her to and from the doctor. I needed a person that could take Nana and actually go in with her, take notes and communicate the doctor comments back to me. At that time, I was in desperate need of a service like this as she had Alzheimer's and could not remember specific items from the appointment herself!
Other things I needed assistance with were getting Nana to the hair stylist, grocery store, and anywhere else she wanted or needed to go the weeks I was traveling for work. These may seem like very small things however, in all reality they were not!
You must trust someone to not only take your loved one to these places but you must trust them with either cash, check or credit card to make payment! In today's world, that is QUITE A BIT OF TRUST!
Many years later, I started Nana's Helper for the reasons listed above. Now it is September 2012, Nana's Helper is being led in a new direction toward those with special needs and disabilities. I feel that is also an area with a huge need.
My company is based on the belief that the customers' needs are of the utmost importance. I am committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of my business is from repeat customers and referrals.
